please read my post in Mono list, "Mono in Solaris",

the Solaris tar is incompatible with GNU tar, so you miss files when untar,

this is the first step of your nigthmare, i waste 5 weeks trying install
mono in solaris 8 and i drop.

I'm contact with SunFree and they told me that they are making the package.

please send a mail to "Steven M. Christensen" <steve at smc.vnet.net> (Sun
Free) to ask for the mono packages

Regards
