Ok, solved.

For whoever cares about it: Martin almost had the response: the value 
to add to path variables is not

c:\Program Files\Monoxxxx

but

c:\Program Files\Monoxxxx\bin


that's all.

Next version of sharp develop (2.0 ) also called Corsavy will be able 
to detect registry files set by mono installation
