[Mono-list] Mono apps availability

Hello the list,
(Probably) dumb questions from a newbie : why aren't Mono apps (Tomboy,
Blam!, ...) available compiled (in bytecode ot the .Net equivalent). Why
do we still have to go through the configure->make->make install steps ?
Anyway, these apps won't work if all Mono modules needed (Gtk#, ...) are
not already present.
