There's another (german) book aimed at mono which is out for about 4 weeks 
now. It is called
"Mono . .NET-kompatible Anwendungen mit dem Open Source-Framework"

Since the author and the number of pages are different I guess the book from 
apress is another one and not the translation of this one.
