[Mono-list] Building on RedHat 9

Are there modifications that are needed in the configure script to build 
on RedHat 9? I tried to build one of the recent nightly snapshots on a 
fresh installation and the mono configure script said that the c 
preprocessor cpp failed a sanity check. Does anyone know if this is a 
problem with the distro or just with my box? I upgraded the packages for 
GCC and its dependencies today to the latest from rawhide and the error 
is still there.
