Well, the FAQ addresses this issue. If what's written there doesn't suit =
your expectation I have a suggestion for you.

Create a benchmark suite for C#. A bit of research would be needed to =
define what constitute a good benchmark suite. You'll probably end up =
creating some for different aspects of the framework.=20

I think Microsoft will not like it if you publish benchmark numbers, but =
that's ok, the main benefit is to make sure that refactoring of the code =
or fixes do not affect performance too much. Also the Mono Weekly News =
could probably post a graph of how the performance is =
increasing/decreasing every week :)

That's actually something I'll probably do whenever I get free time. (In =
about 4 or 5 months from now)
