Oh boy -- I've really foot-in-mouthed this time. I went back to find the program where I had to explicitly join the thread, and I had been writing it on my Linux box, and hence on mono, hence my frustration, hence my misspeaking here. Since work-alike-ness with the MS runtime is a goal, this should get bugzilla'd. Sorry folks. I'm a dumbass. Ian
