I was just wondering.

You currently do the back-end optimizations in the
mono compiler.
It would be possible to use gcc as a front end for the
mono backend? 
So use the ast and not the rtl? 

I have been mapping out the asts from the gcc and
would be interested in how I could give them to you in
such a way that you would be able to process them.

Do you support xml reading or native c-calling from
the mono?  What about a pure xml input into mono as a
front end?
