Oh, great news !

From a quick look at the output, some of these failures are due to localization
problems especially wrt. numbers - the invariant locale is not always correct
and AFAIK we aren't implementing en_US yet.

However, all these ArrayList tests worry me a bit - this is a heavily
used piece of code so IMHO we should try to fix them and the I/O bugs
first before we work on localization.
