[Mono-list] Samba Implications?

I am not very versed in "legalese".  I've read this a couple of times, but
I'm not sure of what this all means.

Microsoft can't just make Samba illegal... can they?
Are they saying that no one can use Samba ever again?  I can't believe
that such a license is possible.

Could someone explain to me what this means?
