I think that's what Rhys Weatherley thought. It seems that Mono hackers had 
other ideas.

The idea here is to reduce duplicated effort, and make sure that Mono and 
dotGNU can work together. Some groundwork (not much) needs to be done in the 
area of the runtime to ensure that. That's no reason we shouldn't still hack 
the c# library. Just make sure that the work hasn't already been done... 
That's all I ask.
