If you started with the Mono source (as opposed to the MS source) then you
should be able to do this without any problems.
The Mono sources are licensed MIT X11 and so they have very few
restrictions. It looks like Codeplex will allow you to choose the MIT X11
license for code you post their as well:

Please license your Mono-derived code under MIT as well when you post it to
Codeplex (personal appeal). Also, it would be a good idea to give Mono some
props by explaining that you derived from Mono code.
