[Mono-dev] WebBrowser input fields not working?

Hi all,

I've been playing around with the WebBrowser component. I did a small
application in VS.2008, that only contains a docked webbrowser, pointing to
"google.com". Using mono, it works fine in Ubuntu 10.10, and also using the
SUSE vmware image offered at mono-project.com. Everything is ok, except for
the input fields, where neither Ubuntu (mono v2.6.7) or Suse (v2.8) are
responsive, it is not possible to type anything.

I tried some of the Suse default WinForms prebuilt samples ("IEClone",
"UsingWebBrowser"), and also show the same behavior, it's impossible to
write anything on any input field, like google search field.

There's a bug description related to this problem:

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=427866
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=427866

It says "Nothing appears in the search field, and you might think it's
hanging or
something, until you click on the background of the web page and then try
typing in the search field again, at which point it works fine."

But currently, even clicking in the background doesn't fix the problem. It's
the same bug that has worsened, or it's a new one?

Thanks,

Alex
