[Mono-dev] Program not able to exit after using MySql-Connector [solved]

For those who may have the same issue.

Finally I was able to track this problem down to a bug reported in ubuntu
launchpad
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mono/+bug/224291

I don't know the reason for this but using a new (clean) user the problem is
gone. Fortunately it seems that all my problems with hanging threads and
timers are gone :)
