That's unfortunate, but there are plenty of developers using MD
full-time on various distros that find it to be a stable and
productive environment. This is fairly off-topic, though, as the
prj2make functionality is part of mdtool, a command line utility
distributed with MonoDevelop, which I assume is not what has been
crashing on you.

Perhaps you will have more luck with the upcoming 1.0 release. Have
you tried the release candidates?

I hope you've also been reporting these experiences to bugzilla or the
MonoDevelop mailing list so that they can be resolved.
