[Mono-dev] A question about MS Office and Mono.

Correct, COM Interop is currently not working on mono. However, I hope to get it working in the next month or two. I started a page on the wiki (http://www.mono-project.com/COM_Interop) to keep track of progress.

Thanks,
Jonathan

Not yet. (Jonathan Chambers, please correct me if I'm wrong. :-)

Interacting with MS Office on Windows requires COM Interop support,
which is still a work-in-progress.

Jonathan Chambers is working on it, and could give a more complete
answer.

As for Mac, I believe the normal IPC mechanism is AppleScript, and I
haven't heard of an AppleScript provider for Mono yet, so this looks
less likely...
