Just a heads up, per spouliot's request: While we're on the topic of TLS
differences, I ran into a bug today with funkiness related to catching
NullReferenceExceptions (see bug #74252). Ultimately, it was caused by
using --with-sigaltstack=yes option, instead of the default. Obviously
that bug needs to be fixed, but until then be aware that this is another
potential source of these kind of funky errors.
