Tough. Sticking your head in the sand is a recipe for a good ass
kicking. It's actually a deeper rooted problem than that with gcc4
(there are some class C++ errors in there as well which will need
reporting).

I'd make it a conditional for gcc4 users when the autogen script makes
the makefiles rather than drop it entirely.
