Please try a recent mono version, like the most recent preview at:
http://www.go-mono.com/preview/mono-0.30-2.tar.gz

You could run mono under gdb, hit control-C when it hangs and report the
output from the gdb command:
	t a a bt

But, please, use a recente mono release.
