Well, the problem of using the .NET versioning numbers for our
products, is that we are tied to their versions.

So major upgrades to Mono would be Mono 1.1.1 instead of a Mono 2.0 to
identify that.

Am at this point convinced that Mono needs to follow its own version
scheme, and that we should identify on each release what APIs are
implemented.
