[Mono-devel-list] Building Cairo or working around dependency?

Any tips for getting Cairo installed on a SuSE 8.0 AMD64 system. (Yes, I
need 64-bit libraries.)

It appears I have the interpreter working, but the mcs build is failing as
the system does not have Cairo installed. I pulled all the Cairo stuff from
CVS, but it fails on xft and xrender dependencies and before tracking that
down, I figured I'd ask for advice :-)

Mostly I want to run some unit tests to see if this is really working. (mcs
seems to be compiling stuff. There were a few crashes before in the new
tramp.c code, so I know it is running a 64-bit mint.)
