when i run autogen, i get the following error:
tuco at stella mono $ ./autogen.sh --prefix=/usr/local
Running libtoolize...
You should update your `aclocal.m4' by running aclocal.
Running aclocal ...
Running autoheader...
Running automake --gnu ...
Running autoconf ...
Running libgc/autogen.sh ...
Running aclocal ...
Running automake --gnu ...
Running autoconf ...
aclocal.m4:661: error: m4_defn: undefined macro: _m4_divert_diversion
libtool.m4:177: _LT_AC_CHECK_DLFCN is expanded from...
aclocal.m4:661: the top level
autom4te-2.57: /usr/bin/m4 failed with exit status: 1
**Error**: autoconf failed.
Done running libgc/autogen.sh ...
Running ./configure --enable-maintainer-mode --enable-compile-warnings
--prefix=/usr/local ...
loading cache ./config.cache
...
and in the end i get this:
configuring in libgc
running /bin/sh ./configure --enable-maintainer-mode
--enable-compile-warnings --prefix=/usr/local
--cache-file=.././config.cache --srcdir=.
./configure: ./configure: No such file or directory
configure: error: ./configure failed for libgc
i have searched around, and all i found on this problem is that perhaps
my autoconf version was out of date. however, i have
Autoconf version 2.13 as default. 2.57 is also installed. my system is
gentoo 1.4_rc4.
any ideas?
thanks
alvaro
