Yes, as I said the three files below were lost:

>     Files mcs/mcs/ChangeLog and mcs-0.23/mcs/ChangeLog differ
>     Files mcs/mcs/class.cs and mcs-0.23/mcs/class.cs differ
>     Files mcs/mcs/expression.cs and mcs-0.23/mcs/expression.cs differ

And we had to regenerated them (so there is no MCS_0_23 tag for them)

Yes, CVS does not contain any of the generated files that you listed.  

Interesting is that we do not ship all the docs.

That is your web browser trying to be smart and uncompressing on
download.  It happens in the best families.
