I'm not sure why IDEs insist on generating these property settings by default,
considering they seem to cause more bad than good.

Anyway, as stated in the page I linked to, this will also happen on Windows if
you've changed the font settings. So this is not a bug with Mono, as far as I
know. I don't know the details, though, so can't help more.

I'll mark this as CLOSED FEATURE. Sounds about right.
