For us the -0 "" command line for aapt would work, we had bad experience mixing
compressed and uncompressed assets (and yes, they do work with both extensions
and specific files, it is just a filter).
Maybe just add an option in the project configuration (or some config file) to
not compress assets to allow assets over 1MB.
We will try to switch to loading assets from the sdcard anyway, and our -0 ""
aapt repacking also kinda works (it stops working for packages above 40MB for
some reason).
