I can reproduce this crash doing the following (using MD from master):

1) Open the MD solution in MD
2) In Run/Exceptions, select FileNotFoundException
3) Start debugging MD using F5
4) In the MD being debugged, open a solution which is under git control, such
as MD itself or any other solution.
5) Crash.
