Hello Carlos,

Where did you commit this code to?

It seems to be that we should not be doing any work arounds here, this is an
OS-specific feature and it is up to the upper layers to ensure that the file
will not be overwritten like this.

I do not like this patch to be honest, and I think this is a case of not-a-bug.
