For the first test case (test.gif):

the call to DGifGetRecordType (gifcodec.c:185) is returning GIF_ERROR
claiming - "GIF-LIB error: Failed to Read from given file."

For the the second test case (myimage2.gif):
the call to DGifGetLine (gifcode.c:219) is returning GIF_ERROR
claiming - "GIF-LIB error: Image is defective, decoding aborted"
