Ok, so it appears this only happens if the Quick Launch radio button is
selected.  So updated steps:

1. Create a few profiles
2. Go about life
3. Click run in Mono
3b. Click Quick Launch
4. Right click on a profile to delete it
5. After the profile is deleted the choose profile dialog closes.

Extra info:
I am using VS2010
Only happens if there is more than one profile.
