The other option, at least as a stopgap, would be to add a preface that states
the conventions used in monodoc are a wee bit different, and then list the
differences.

I suspect there's a little more to the issue than merely CSS, since the colons
in in the PDF also go missing in the monodoc. (Although it is possible to
inject text with CSS, I've rarely seen that done. More likely, the generator
tool treats unescaped colons as special magic.)
