yup that it. The make should be look in `../../mcs/mcs/anonymous.cs' 

I hacked around this by creating a symlink and now make dist seems to be
working.

later it dies with:

mkdir -p --
/home/sjmunroe/src/mono-ppc/mono-2.6.1-patched/mono-2.6.1/mcs/class/System.Web.DynamicData/Test/WebPages/DynamicData/Content
cp: cannot stat `Test/WebPages/DynamicData/Content/FilterUserControl.ascx': No
such file or directory
make[4]: *** [dist-default] Error 1
make[4]: Leaving directory
`/home/sjmunroe/src/mono-ppc/mono-2.6.1-patched/mcs/class/System.Web.DynamicData'

which is not in the mono-2.6.1-tar.bz2 file!

it does seem to be in the svn trunk and 2.6 branch.
