Testcase Unbenannt.cs
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1;
Trident/4.0; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.04506.648; .NET CLR
3.0.4506.2152; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 4.0.20506)
The attached testcase creates a Form component with
IDesignerHost.CreateComponent.
After that it trys to get the Designsuface View.
This leads to an InvalidOperationException: DesignSurface isn't loaded.
This maybe isn't the preferred way to get the designer working, but it works
with MS.Net.
DesignSurface ds = new DesignSurface();
IDesignerHost host;
host = (IDesignerHost)ds.GetService(typeof(IDesignerHost));
host.CreateComponent(typeof(System.Windows.Forms.Form));
Control view = (Control)ds.View; // <- Exception
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.compile and run attached testcase
2.
3.
Actual Results:
InvalidOperationException thwown
Expected Results:
DesignerFrame should appear (check against MS.Net)
Haven't found System.Design in the library list, so i choosed System instead.
This happens in OpenSUSE 11.1 too.
