Allow using system libedit

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.0.11)
Gecko/2009063000 Gentoo Firefox/3.0.11

The attached patch adds a switch (disabled by default) to use the system copy
of libedit instead of building your own. This gets useful for distributions
like Gentoo that have a libedit package (or like Gentoo FreeBSD where libedit
is actually part of the system!).

Bundling libraries is a bad thing for most distributions!

Reproducible: Always
