Jpobst thought that he had a fix for this in MonoVS 0.2p3.

It somewhat works, but when I try to close the app for the 2nd time using the
tray icon, the app on linux closes on linux, but then VS crashes (see the
screen shot).

If this is a new / separate bug, let me know and I'll file it separate.
