I can confirm the backcolor issue in Linux with svn.

BUT I can't see the focus issue in .net 2.x (the focus rectangle appears on the
selected item UNTIL the mouse is released). 

And: there's no need to create another bug for this backcolor-focus related
issues (they are actually related ;-) ).
