Hmm, this can't happen all the time as I've had my server VM running for weeks
without restarting it.

Soooooo, lets see if we can narrow it down:
- Did you leave a session open on the Windows side during the 15 hours?
- Did you leave VS open during the 15 hours?
- Did you try connecting multiple times from Windows before restarting the
server.  If so, did it fail every time?
