Gentlemen, I don't believe the current behavior is wrong. We are supposed to
implement (bug-to-bug, alas) MS.NET behavior and not MSIE bugs. The
app_offline.htm file is supposed to provide content for ALL requests to the
site if it exists, at least that's how I understand Scott's description. Also,
since the description is an informal one, we do not need to implement it to the
letter. Therefore I will take the liberty to close this bug.
Gert, the test can know if it is running on MS.NET or on Mono and adjust its
behavior.
Juraj, what you suggest is something that should be solved by the site
administrator/developer/designer, not Mono.
Sorry guys, but I like how we implement this (undocumented) feature now and I'd
like it to stay that way :)
