Thank you for clarifying this.  I understand the underlying issues and we will
use the RPM moving forward.

If the installer isn't the "preferred" method and will not work for most users,
why make it the default option for linux installations on the page?

Would it not make it more usable to have the linux version say, "use the distro
specific RPM"?  and moving the Binary Installer option down after the RPM's?

I'm sure making that change will save a couple end users frustrations.
