The thing with the change is that the impact is quite big and I'm afraid it may
affect Sys.Web in the ways we cannot detect right away and introduce a possibly
unknown number of regressions. At this point my understanding is that we need
both classes as their semantics differs a bit and the way both of them work is
confirmed as correct by the tests we have.
It would be great if you could share the VirtualPathUtility test suite (by
committing it to the svn trunk, for instance) so that we could remove the bugs
you've found.
I think there's no real rush to making the change, even though it seems to be a
move in the right direction. Thanks!
