I'm do not quite understand what you want to say with 3.
Perhaps it would possible to provide the binarys that need ncurses with the
absolute path to ncurses.so. I'm not quite sure on how to do this with gcc but
I know it is possible. The binarys would find ncurses without the need that the
so is in LD_LIBRARY_PATH. So the deployed ncurses.so can not interfere with a
allready installed in the system. Similar to the side by side dll deployment.
