 In RHEL 4 running under vmware, I ran into this problem while testing 
 a simple app, and pasting from another application. Tests with program 
 from Kiere display the same InvalidCastException crash. This happens 
 in the .NET 2 runtime, haven't tested yet with 1.1.

+hm, I'm confused.  Are you running the app in vmware on a windows
+machine (with RHEL as the guest OS) and pasting from a windows app
+into the mono app?  Or pasting from an X11 application to the mono
+winforms app within the vmware instance?
