 Just for the record, this bug is (or at least was) trivial to
 reproduce on SuSE 9.3.  Since it was not reproducible on NLD9 or SuSE
 10.0, maybe it was an issue with some other part of 9.3 and not
 strictly a mono bug.

+It ran fine on my suse 9.3 x86 machine, using yesterday's svn head

+rather than the 38M you mentioned in the original report. 
+outfile.beagled.2 also worked for me on the same machine.
