+I nuked my mono-1.1.1 directory, un-tarred and reconfigured. It hung
+again during monoburg creating sample.c. I attached a debugger to get
+a backtrace and got nothing useful. When I looked at the build, it
+continued, leaving a zero-length sample.c file.
