Thanks for this suggestion. I've got to support both PHP and Mono, and PHP
claims to need to pre-fork MPM. I did some searching, and have now come up
with what looks like a good solution. In the process, I also figured out
how to do virtual hosts on my development laptop as well (manual entries in
/etc/hosts!), so the configs I write should be able to be dropped right into
the server after changing the ServerName line.
