FYI, I'm working on this; but the problem is a bit more pathological
then just applying a property to the classes.  The widgets reference
themselves in Stetic (MD's designer) which is something MD used to allow
but no longer works - so everywhere that happens the widget needs to be
modified to insert the child widget manually into the container.
