I agree with you on this point, but if GTK is already installed, the current
installer makes a mess of it. I would recommend that the GTK# installer
install GTK to a standard location and install GTK# as well. Of course you
can always use things like Wise installer to download GTK if required, like
MS do. Would there be any interest in a native Win32 installer shell ala
IE6?

Momentum is important. With the right tools, I hope for great things for
GTK#
