[MonoTouch] ViewDidAppear or ViewWillAppear not firing

I have created my own DialogViewController (which inherits from the class)
but when I try to override the ViewDidAppear or ViewWillAppear they never
get hit. The one method which does get hit is the LoadView method. Am I
doing something wrong? I need a method to fire when I navigate back to the
screen so I can call ReloadData().
