[MonoTouch] Universal app: different root.plist / device?

Is it possible to have different settings (root.plist) per device when
building a universal app? e.g. the iPad version of my app has the
possibility of an 'extended' display besides the basic display, because it
fysically bigger, the iPhone has just a basic display.

Only the iPad version's settings should show the option for using setting
extended or basic. The iPhone settings should not show this option at all.

Is this possible?
