[MonoTouch] NSObject Linker Issue introduced with 5.0.4

[Augmental]

We are having a linker issue at the final link stage, which did not occur
previously to 5.0.4, the relevant mtouch output is:

Linking assembly
/Users/x/Projects/x/x-iPhone-Master/Client/iPhone/IEMobile/bin/iPhoneSimulator/Debug/IEMobileUI.exe
into
/Users/x/Projects/x/x-iPhone-Master/Client/iPhone/IEMobile/bin/iPhoneSimulator/Debug/IEMobileUI.app
Could not link assemblies: Mono.Linker.ResolutionException: Can not resolve
reference: System.Void MonoTouch.Foundation.NSObject::MarkDirty()

Unfortunately this gives no clue as to the code responsible for calling
MarkDirty... it looks like it could be something that isn't wrapped properly
in the Framework?

Confirmed on two separate installations of 5.0.4. Any ideas?
