[MonoTouch] MonoDevelop Editor -- arrow keys acting odd

When I am editing text in MonoDevelop  I find the up arrow works fine, but
when I use the down arrow, it seems to go into some kind of brace matching
mode and jump to matching braces.  This is a nice feature when it's
intended, but when you are just scrolling through your code, it's pretty
annoying.  I've also noticed than when clicking on a line with the mouse, it
seems to take a while for the mouse cursor to appear, is this normal as
well?

I feel a little silly asking, because I know I must have changes some
setting in MonoTouch, but it's driving me crazy!  Thanks in advance for the
help.
